29 October 2004 - Crown Minerals announces plans for new information systems and technical reporting requirements.
Over the next 12 months Crown Minerals will be investing in the development of information systems and new technical reporting requirements to improve the consistency and transparency of its permitting processes, improve the quality of permit related information and enhance industry access to geotechnical data.
The major thrust of the change is to provide new online services to enable:
- most permit related events such as permit applications, changes, transfers, statutory reports, technical data and payment details to be submitted online using a standard web browser;
- public view, search and download of permit related data and various open-file technical data via an interface which can facilitate geographic and textual searches.
The new technical reporting requirements will clarify the content, digital format, media and metadata requirements for permit holders and enable Crown Minerals to effectively manage and disseminate data once it becomes open-file.
