As part of its current data acquisition programme, the government collected 2,375 kilometres of 2D seismic over the Campbell Plateau and Bounty Trough last summer.
While the raw data is being made available now to all interested parties, the government will also be processing and interpreting this new seismic data over the coming months, with the intention of releasing a Block Offer over the area later this year or early 2011 (PR4158).
The government is also releasing 5,934 kilometres of recently reprocessed 2D seismic data collected during the 1970s and 1980s by Hunt Petroleum (PR4144).
