FMG Pacific has laid out plans for some detailed exploration work for the two exploration permits (EP52157 and EP51258).
The larger of these tenements, (EP 52157) covers an area of 9773 hectares immediately north and west of Greymouth. The main area of the tenement lies north of the Grey River, to the south of Mt Davy and west of Blackball. The remainder of the tenement lies to the south of the river from Dobson to Stillwater, with the most westerly section is between Cobden and Point Elizabeth.
Over EP52157, FMG Pacific plans to undertake an airborne survey to acquire magnetic, radiometric, and possibly gravity data. Within the first three years of the five year permit life, FMG Pacific aims to drill and geophysically log at least 10 exploration drill holes. If initial drilling results are promising, it is expected that FMG Pacific will undertake an infill drilling programme of approximately 20 holes over a four square kilometre area. It is expected that infill drilling will be followed by a 3D seismic survey to define the resource potential.
The second permit (EP 51258) covers an area of 353 hectares immediately north of EP52157 in the Rewanui area. A limited work programme has been planned for EP51258.
