The Kan Tan IV semi-submersible drilling rig which drilled Hoki-1 has now moved to the Tui SW-1 well site to drill the first appraisal well in the Tui oilfield.
AWE, operator of PEP 38401, said that Hoki-1 was drilled to a total measured depth of 3,700 m.
The Hoki-1 well found no indications of hydrocarbons in the target North Cape Formation sands, nor in the upper part of the Wainui Formation.
The Tui partners plan to drill two wells close to the main Tui oil pool at Tui SW-1 and Kahu-1 to the east of the Tui pool.
