NZPAM services during Covid-19

Publish date: 24 March 2020

In response to the Covid-19 pandemic we are now working from home with limited access to our systems. There will be some delays in our communications to you.

How to contact us

You can get in touch with us by emailing nzpam@mbie.govt.nz. We will get back to you as soon as possible.

Contacting us by post

As we are not in the MBIE offices there are likely to be considerable delays in processing any mail, including any annual summary reports and permit applications, that come in by post. We recommend emailing us at nzpam@mbie.govt.nz rather than using post. You can also register for our Online Permitting System (OPS), which will help you to manage your permits and any applications during this time.

Annual Summary Reports and royalty payments due 31 March

Annual Summary Reports (ASR) and royalty payments are due on 31 March. If you can submit your ASR and royalty payments on time, please do so. If you don’t think you will be able to meet this deadline due to the lockdown, please get in touch with us.

Reminder letters

While staff are working from home we will be looking to turn off the automated reminder letters for upcoming obligations. This will ensure that those who obtain them by email don’t receive letters for obligations that you have already met.

Not receiving reminder letters does not remove your compliance obligations and you still need to meet these or contact us if the lockdown prevents you from doing so. You can view reminders for your permits by registering for the OPS.

We are working on prioritising applications and will endeavour to communicate with you as effectively as possible.
