Consent to change operator or transfer interests

You need to apply for Ministerial consent to the transfer of participating interest in the permit if the percentage holdings of the permit are changing (such as where a permit participant is being added or removed from the permit).

(Every permit must have a permit operator. The operator is the permit participant who is responsible for the day to day management of activities under the permit).

An executed copy of the agreement that requires consent must accompany the application.

Applications must be made within three months of the date of the agreement, otherwise a new agreement will need to be signed.

If you are applying for Ministerial consent to a change of operator and the new operator is not currently a permit participant you will also need to apply for consent to a transfer of interest.

The APP-04 form may be used to provide the details for transfers of interest and/or change of operators that affect either a single permit or multiple permits. Please note, however, that a fee is payable for each transfer of a participating interest in a permit and for each change of operator on a permit.
